Anna Buhlinger joined Capitol Hill Consulting Group as a Legislative Assistant in August 2019, bringing experience in strategic communication, energy policy, and local/state government relations.
Anna primarily works with CHCG’s energy and environment team, assisting with comprehensive research, legislative analysis, and drafting RFPs for an expansive portfolio of energy clients. In addition, she leads CHCG’s social media and communication platforms to ensure clients are informed of the latest legislative and regulatory developments throughout Capitol Hill, the administration, and industry. Anna also works with numerous other clients in Native Affairs, higher education, and technology.
Prior to joining CHCG, Anna worked as a Legislative Monitor for a well-recognized government relations firm. During the 2018 Kansas legislative session, she interned for State Senator Randall Hardy and managed his communications and constituent relations, along with helping the Judiciary, Transportation, and Local Government Committees.
In 2018, Anna interned at a government affairs and communications firm in Washington, D.C. focused on energy, transportation, commercial space, and financial services. There, Anna researched and developed communications for clients, with a focus on electric vehicles, biofuels, solar, wind, and nuclear energy. Additionally, she assisted with communication strategy and policy for the Kansas School of Law, Biodiversity Institute, and the City of Lawrence.
Anna was born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.G.S. in Political Science and Communication Studies with minors in Public Policy and Psychology.
