Capitol Hill Consulting Group Senior Vice President Steve Southerland Played Role as a Member of Trump Victory Fundraising Team

Nov 16, 2016 | SHARE

Congressman Southerland, who served as the Florida Second Congressional District’s member of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, joined the Trump Victory fundraising operation in July.

As a joint financing effort between the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee, Trump Victory helped provide millions of dollars in financing for both the President-elect himself, as well as Republicans across the board, playing a key role in the party’s November success.

In a statement over the summer, Steve Mnuchin, Trump’s campaign finance chairman, expressed excitement at the prospect of having “experienced fundraising and business leaders in place,” and anticipated that their efforts would be critical in getting voters excited about Trump. On Election Day, Floridians did come out for Trump, and Southerland’s efforts helped fuel a victory for a Republican presidential candidate in Florida for the first time in twelve years.   “I’m proud to have played a role in this historic victory along with so many other great Americans,” Southerland said.  “With this election, it’s a season of optimism in America and I’m honored to have supported President-elect Donald Trump as he begins leading America back to prosperity.”
